Demand your success! Seven steps to guaranteed triumph!

It’s late at night and I find myself scrolling through YouTube, desperately trying to lull myself into sleep. Just as I’m about to hit that familiar “skip” button on yet another ad, something catches my eye.  A video featuring speaker by the name of Brian Tracy, promising insights to the elusive realm of success. Sound familiar?

“A goal that is not in writing is not a goal at all. It is merely a wish and it has no energy behind it.”
― Brian Tracy

Normally, I would dismiss it without as much as a second thought, but there was something different about this video. I decided to give it a chance. As Tracy begins to outline his seven steps to success, I find myself captivated by his technique on seven steps to success.[/bigletter]

What I do know, is that success is not about luck or talent, but everything about discipline. Success demands that you make a choice to pursue your goals, even when odds are stacked against you or it seems as though “the market for that niche is too saturated.”

It’s in those moments of effort and determination that you truly begin to soar. It’s in the small, everyday choices that propel you towards your dreams, one step at a time. And that’s where the magic happens.

Here are the seven steps…

Decide what it is that you want.

Whatever you desire, identify it and write it down. Think about what will make you happy, serve your needs, what aligns with your personal values and gives you fulfillment and write it down. Perhaps it’s a move to a new city or a change in your career. Whatever the goal, identify it and write it down.

Write it down.

What I like about this step is that it reminds me of “Scripting,” a powerful writing technique – a written form of visualization – that helps you to manifest. When you write a list of your goals, you are manifesting them. The energy you put into them after writing them becomes the momentum that brings them into fruition.

Here, you are to write clearly and in detail the goal you wish to achieve – and write it on paper.

Set a deadline.

Setting a deadline for your goal forces your subconscious mind to bring action to it. That deadline is the motivation that prompts you to complete the tasks necessary to will your desires true. It is also suggested that if you feel the goal is too big, create smaller deadlines – leaving nothing to chance.

Make a list.

Make a list of any and everything you believe you will need to do to accomplish your goal. If it is a task or activity that requires your effort of completion, it belongs on the list. Set a deadline for that item and move on to the next.

Organize your list.

To create a successful plan, you will want to organize your list in a way that prioritizes what is important and what is less important. It is also wise to note which items on the list are dependent on others, so you can prioritize those items first. Write your plan out on paper.[/dropcap]

Take action.

Once you have your list, the next step would be to take action! As you start to mark off items on your list, you will feel productive and your brain will release dopamine giving you positive feelings about the tasks you are completing.

As you move through your list and take down one thing at a time, it will become apparent that you are moving closer to your goal. For larger tasks on the list that may take a bit of time to complete, consider breaking them down into sub-tasks, to make completing that task easier and helping to realize the progress you are making.

Do something everyday!

Big or small, make an effort to do something towards your goal every day. Where attention goes, energy flows. When you focus on what is important, feeding your mind with only the things you wish to manifest more of in your life you will see them multiply. The universe wants to give you everything you desire in this world, meet it half way.

success is when you dream plan and achieve

“When you want something, the whole universe conspires in order for you to  achieve it.”
― The Alchemist

Be steadfast on your goals! It is not easy, but it is definitely rewarding. As your determination strengthens and your goal draws nearer, soon you will find the joy in the truth that anything you put your mind to, you will achieve.
